Downloading Adobe Reader 6.0

After downloading Adobe Reader 6.0 on my laptop with
Windows XP, when trying to open, I get a install Windows
Journal Viewer install search. I appearently do not have
it installed or located correctly. I get locked up and
have to task manager end task. I then downloaded Windows
Journal Viewer 1.5 to no avail. I am trying to read pdf
files.

Why download something you do not need. Go back and download an older
version of Adobe. When that quits working, then get the newer one. By
that time they will have the bugs worked out
