Sounds like the same problem I am having, next time you
boot, give it about a minute and control/alt/delete once,
should bring up Task List, see if there's a "svchost local
services" listed, and ifso, end task on it.
If your high CPU usage goes away, your having the same
problem I am....good luck
I'm dealing with microsoft now trying to figure out what
is causing it and its slow going.

No, that would be a mistake. Svchost may be "sucking up all CPU cycles", but
that's because the underlying cause of your problem is making it behave like
that. You need to determine what the underlying cause is.
