I had the same problem. Hit ctrl-alt-del to bring up task
manager. Go the process tab and find the program that's
hogging your processor. I had an index file that was
whacking my machine out. Somehow it got set to auto and
fired off as soon as I booted up. Once you find the
program, you'll need to determine if it's critical to
your system, odds are it isn't. Go to the control panel,
open performance & maintenance, open admin tools, then
open services. Maximize the window and you'll see all the
applications. Find the one that's causing you problems
and set it to either manual or disabled (if it's in
auto). Hope this helps, it worked for my issue.
