Every 2 or 3 days when verify the "system restore"
restore points, they seem to disappear. For instacnce I
made a resore point 3 days ago on 01apr03 and it no
longer is available. Is there a menu of sorts that
controls how lonmg these restore points rae kept ?

Are any Restore Points available, or are they all gone?
You can adjust the space allocated to system Restore.
Open system Restore, click "System Restore Settings" on the left side.
Adjust the slider.
