Greetings,
I have my hard disk partitioned into 2 drives (C & D). I
keep all my data on the D drive, but all my programs are
in Program Files on C drive. 2 questions:
1. I wan to format my Cdrive, is there anyway to move the
prgrma files over or will I need to reinstall them all?
2. I know I'm supposed to use fdisk and i want o be
really careful to only format C and not my D drive. What
is the syntax for doing this?
Thanks in Advance

1. Programs need to be reinstalled once a partition is reformatted.

2. Use the Windows XP CD to reformat your desired partition:

-----------

1. Open your BIOS and set your CD Drive as the first bootable device.
2. Insert your Windows XP CD in the CD Drive and reboot your =
computer.
3. You'll see a message to boot to the CD....follow the instructions.
4. The setup menu will appear and you should elect to format the C:
partition (preferably NTFS) and proceed to install Windows XP.

5. Windows XP Clean Install:=20
