The Start button on the TaskBar does not funcion. As you
approach the Taskbar, the hourglass appears and continues.
Sometimes (but not consistently) another user on the system
will be able to access the Start button. The desktop icons
work even if the taskbar does not. Rebooting or restarting
does not help. System worked fine until 4-5 weeks ago when
I re-installed a scanner utility. Removing the utility and
reloading XP did not help.
