Hello all. First time here and this problem is really getting on my nerves.
Thursday, my printer was fine. Today, it's not working
It's a Canon BJC 2110, connected via USB.
Here's what happened from Fri - Today
SAT: Disconnected PC to take to a LAN party
SUN: Brought back PC, reseated mobo, reconnected
SUN: When I booted the PC, the CMOS had to go back to default settings (don't know why, it just failed to boot). Since I didn't change much originally (just time, date, and boot order), I fixed those and went to Windows.
SUN nt: Installed an MMORPG
TODAY: I went to print out a resume and nothing happens. The printer itself is fine AFAI can tell (power works, it's in the home position, cables are all snug and in correct positions). I looked through CMOS to see if I could change any settings for a USB printer, but I didn't see anything to be aware of. I deleted the printer under the PRINTER AND FAXES, unhooked it (via hotswapping), rehooked it, WinXP found it and installed the drivers, and it STILL doesn't work.
What appears to be happening is that the data gets stuck in transmission. For example, when I click PRINT, the data gets sent, but then it just freezes (so about half of the file gets sent). It's only a resume, very small file and was working fine Thursday.
I can't uninstall the drivers AFAIK. No option for it that I can see under WinXP (not SP1 or SP2 BTW). The latest drivers are already on the WinXP CD (the last one was made in 2001).
