What programs have you got starting up with windows???
Easiest way to speed up the Loading and Closing of windows
is to reduce the number of programs that it actualy loadas
on Boot. Each program takes time to load. The same goes
for shutting down the machine, each program has to be
closed and unloaded from memory, thus slowing down the
closing process. I would suggest that you only have the
programs that you deem to be essential loaded when your
machine starts. E.G. Antivirus Software, Firewall
Software, system software. If you don't use the program
often then remove it from the start up process and only
load it when you really need to use it. I only have my
Anti Virus Software load when windows starts up. I then
start the programs I am going to use as and when I need
them. This will also speed up your system as it will
release some of the processing power back to your machine.
