I did a system restore (to about a month ago) on my win
XP machine, which went fine. It did not solve the
problem I was having so I want to go back (by undo-ing
the restore). Every time I try to do this, it goes
through the motions, then says "System Restore Failed"
and doesn't provide me with any other options. Is there
any way to get back to my old system or am I stuck here?
I say "stuck" because now when I try to perform the
windows updates to my system to get it updated to the
original current date system (from the microsoft windows
update website) it downloads the updates, then says they
failed to install. So I can't update my system. Do I
need to just re-install XP?
