internet connection icon

The icon is gone. I've checked the "show icon" box in
the settings window - but still no icon. I've tried
everything I can think of with no luck. Thank you for
your input.

Hi, Godmother.

You didn't set your Notifications to Always Hide, did you? Or to Hide when
Inactive?

Right-click on the clock, then choose Customize Notifications... and go from
there.

[Start]> [Connect to]> Icon of your ISP
[Your ISP Status] dialog box now appears> [Properties]
Tick checkbox [Show icon in notification area when connected]
[OK] to quit
