I will be travelling out of the country and would like to "call home" using
my PC and a messenging app. Which one is best for this? And while we are
at it, which one is best for video conferencing?
Thanks in advance,
Steve

By "call home" I mean use a mic to reach either another PC at home or a
telephone.
Any ideas?

Greetings Steve,
Probably something like Skype (www.skype.com) as a lot of hotel networks or whatever else you
may be connecting to while outside the country probably don't support UPnP and therefore MSN
Messenger/Windows Messenger won't be very successful.

I always believed that MSN Messenger didn't rely on UPnP.. I have saved the
skype website for future reference.. one question.. does it pick up on one's
WM/MSNM friends list?
