View Full Version : SP2 Prob. - Can't view properties on folder after installing SP2

Hi,

When I R-Click on a folder and select Properties from the drop down, I no
longer get a properties box, nothing at all happens. I can check properties
using the same procedure on individual files or shortcuts but not folders.
This started immediately after installing SP2 on my XP-Pro system. All other
options on the drop-down box work just fine.

I've previously posted this problem but am still having the problem.

While it doesn't sound the significant, it does make it extremely difficult
to determine folder sizes and what will fit on ZIP or other media.

I'm thinking about removing SP2 but am concerned the uninstall may cause
more problems than I have now.

Any thoughts and/or suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Thanks!
Carl

Hi Carl,

See if lines 203 and 207 (right hand side) helps:

Kelly,

Thanks for trying.

Neither of those option helped.

I did notice that I can R-click on my drive under My COmputer and view
properties for the entire drive. As soon as I open the drive and try to do
the same on any folder, I get nothing.

Do you have any other thoughts?

Thanks!
Carl
