View Full Version : Using fields in an existing document in fax wizard

If I have created a fax in Word which already has the recipient's name and
fax no, is it possible when using the XP fax printer to automatically lift
those fields into the fax wizard so I don't have to reenter them. Ideally it
would be good to bypass the wizard altogether.

I am guessing this is probably solved by a visual basic macro in Word which
selects the printer as fax and then looks at bookmarks in the Word document
to lift the necessary info. But my skills don't run beyond basic recording -
which I can't get to work her.

But I can't be the first person to want to do this!!

Normally one would either do this with a Custom Cover Page or by creating a
merge document for use with Outlook.
