Moving Files and Programs within XP

Is there a way to move files and programs within the same
computer after you partition the hard drive:

I have added "G" and want to move all my files there but
they do not operate when opened, im sure the path is
wrong and i need to update that somehow.

I wnat to do an easy migration.

One cannot move programs to another partition.....they must be =
reinstalled.
Data can be copied (moved) to another partition after the programs are
reinstalled.
