Installed SP2-now browsers don't work!

Just installed SP2. Trying to use IE6 and Firefox. Neither work. They load
up and my internet connection is fine. Nothing happens when I try to go to a
web site or load up a favorite. I click buttons and just get "done" in
bottom left corner. I got firefox to work a little today. Only by clicking
a link or button 10 times did it work a little--and not every time.

So, I've upgraded and now can't surf the web.

I've cleared temporary files, rebooted. Other programs are working fine. I
uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox.

Suggestions?

I'm not a networking expert so I'm not "recommending" this. Internet
Options>Connections Tab>LAN Settings>Put check in automatically detect
settings.

Click Start
Click Settings and choose Network Connections
Double-click the Local Area Connection
In this window, click the Support tab at the top, then on the 'Repair'
button at the bottom.
