can't get windows updates

When I tried to get windows updates, I read the agreement
and try to agree to it but there is no box to except it
so I have been at this for about a week and I want to
know if I should take it back to when I bought it and try
to reinstall everything I have on it? There is not a
whole lot! PLEASE HELP
