i have successfully downloaded a few fonts into microsoft
word but cannot seem to make them usable. no directions.
are they only printable as and alphabet?

Hi Anita,

Have you installed them yet? Control Panel/Fonts, click on file/install
font. Then navigate to the downloaded fonts and install them.

You can't download fonts *into* Word, or *into* any application.
You simply download the fonts. Then you have to install them in
Control Panel | Fonts | File | Install New Font.

Once you've installed them properly, they will be available to
Word and to all other applications that give you the ability to
choose fonts.

Hi Anita,

You can also copy the downloaded fonts in to the windows\font directory and
XP will automatically recogonise that you are trying to install new fonts or
new version of already installed fonts.
