There are several posts to this forum indicating problems
with Critical Security Update 816093 - in my case, the
extent of the damage was to render Outlook 2000
inoperable. Loading it at boot, or from the Start menu,
it appears as normal on the task bar, but doesn't expand
to a window when clicked. Trying to launch again, it
indicates Outlook is waiting for user input. Duh!
Like otheres, this seems to be the first "bomb" Micro$oft
has laid on us. I don't know how to recover, because the
install is non-reversible.
