Problem with Windows Explorer after Xp & SP2 upgrade

Hi Folks,
As well as now having to add "http://" in front of every web address when
using Internet Explorer (or wait 3-4 minutes while it resolves the URL) I
ALSO have the same problem with Windows Explorer which obviously affects
loads of software.
When you are looking for a file or directory and navigating through your
disk it just seems to hang for 3-4 minutes then wakes up and acts like normal.

Is this another XP SP2 problem or does anyone know a fix please?
