Here are some links you may wish to check out to see if
you can find the answer. Perhaps if you don't, you may
wish to post your problem on the Word Newsgroup. You'll
need to state which version of Word you are using.

Basically you may have to clean out all the left over Word
temp files which are scattered all over the place. These
sites should give you some information on that.
If all else fails under Help in Word - there is an option
for detect and repair for versions 2000 up.
