A particular USB Flash drive mounts and works fine on all computers except
one Dell running XP Pro SP2. This same Dell mounts all other flash drives.
That is, the problem seems to be specific to the combination of this machine
and USB flash drive. Same model Dell, same OS, application set mounts the
problematic USB Flash drive. Any Ideas?

Can you give more details about the Flash drive and the Dell? It could be
that the Dell's USB ports do not match the USB level that Flash drive
requires.

Both are USB2. The kicker is that the USB drive works fine on "identicle
PCs" (same hardware and so far as I can tell the same SW). I'm just very
curious to figure out what's conflicting on this PC.
I've searched the registry for everything I can think of, but when I compare
entries with known good system, they are the same.
