i captured a video file from my cell phone (nokia 6200) and i sent it to my
email. the video file when i opened the email message had the extention .3gp!
the windows media player does not support this file type. what can i do in
order to view it? is there a possibility to rename somehow the file?

It's basically a Quicktime file:
http://filext.com/detaillist.php?extdetail=3gp&Submit3=Go%21

Get Quicktime from: www.quicktime.com

You should be able to open the picture file and save as a jpeg or other
picture file
