i have just installed an epson 750 and when it is printing it is using 100%
of 2.0ghz cpu. is this normal or what?

You could give it a try. Also, please post more of your system
configuration. I assume you are running XP, how much RAM?
Also, did you check your printer driver? That is usually the problem with
printer/computer problems.
