George:
The Windows firewall can be disabled by right clicking the My Network
Places and choosing Properties. Right click your connection and choose
properties, and then click the advanced tab. You can then uncheck the box
for the firewall. This will need to be done for each and any connection type
you utilize. Please note: It is never a good idea to run a machine with no
firewall. If you are disabling the ICF, then I recommend downloading
ZoneAlarm or another comparable firewall. You should look into what is
causing the graphics, etc to be blocked and consider opening up IP ranges or
port, or allowing a particular application full access to and from the
internet, depending on what's causing the blockages.
Hope this helps,
Jon

Double click on the system tray icon and make your changes when the
window pops up. I would NOT recommend this. Your machine would then
be completely open to the world. Be careful!!!
