My 40 GB hard drive only has 13 GB free space. I deleted
temp files, did a disk cleanup, defragged, ran a virus
scan, checked the size of my user directories and didn't
see ANYTHING that would add up to ANYWHERE near 27GB! But
noticed during the virus scan that it took forever to scan
a folder called C:\System Volume Information. I looked and
that folder and in Properties is lists:
size: 28 GB
size on disk: 18.8 GB
What is all this stuff? How is it getting generated and
how do I get rid of it? I thought it was generated from
System Restore but I've limited that to 12% of my disk
space. What is going on here?
Thanks!
