Hi,
We have a user who's performance on the workstation is
good. When using a specific software program, it takes a
long time to to switch from one drive letter to another
with in the program. This doesn't seem to happen in other
programs. I have used "task Manager" to try to sort out
what is happening with out success. There is nothing
showing in the event log either. Is there a monitoring
tool with Windows XP that can help Monitor/track down
whats causing the lag time? The program was working fine
before. Any thoughts?

Max,

If you are familiar with WinNT, then you probably know how valuable PerfMon
(Performance Monitor) can be when setup to show what is happening.

Well, the good news is that PerfMon works in WinXP. Just go to Start, Run
and run PerfMon. Customize it as you need to to get the detail you need to
debug the problem.
