Windows XP Go-Slow

Running P4 Intel 854E

I Noticed XP getting very slow so I began to
systematically uninstall recent patches. Problem is with
811493.Uninstalling fixes it. Recreate problem by
reinstalling 811493

I too noticed that loading programs became much slower after installing this
patch. I haven't uninstalled it (yet), but I did notice that disabling the
real-time protection of my virus checker helped restore the speed I used to
have. I am using eTrust EZ Antivirus 6.1.4.0.
