Hi.
Have you tried leaving the pc for a while after asking it
to shutdown? The reason I ask is that if your pagesilze
is big then it will take up to 5 minutes to shutdown!
Try going to start->run, then typing in msconfig. Go to
startup and deselect it all.
Now restart the computer (it may take a while). Then when
the computer boots up, select shutdown. If it shuts down
quicker, then you have too much processes happening at
startup/shutdown which it will have to close before
turning off.
To remedy this, go to msconfig again and only select
those which you really need within startup.
