The aquarium screensaver has nothing to do with MS (despite it being in the
Plus! Pack). It was licensed from www.serenescreen.com and it is there you
should turn for support.

Have you tried checking the programmers site?
It's not a Microsoft product, it's just a "freebie" given with Plus.
The publisher has thier own support and
you would be more likely getting a useful response there then in
a MS forum.

No the person just meant that the screen saver program is probably either
poorly written or there is some setting on the user computer. If you put
bad gas in your car are you going to blame the auto manufacture?

I think the problem is that nobody else has seen the problem. I use the
Aquarium screen saver, and they are still swimming around just fine for me.
Until such time as I can get it to break for me, I have nothing to poke at
in order to fix it. Since this is a peer support forum, and we don't have
access to the source code to understand it, there is not much more that we
can do.

I haven't seen or heard of this fishy behavior. Is the poor fish on the
inside or the outside of the aquarium?

Greetings --

Could there be a predator of some sort (sea anemone, perhaps)
lurking on the right side that's scaring all of the fish?

microsoft plus! ....version 1.00.00.0554.....copyright=2001....all settings
are default.

had aquarium on for hour today and all three fish move from one edge to the
other.
a few times one would stop near the bubbles and return. all three move from
top to bottom and front to back behind reef. a few times they would pause
for half second (studder). a few times they would kiss and back off.!!
when do they get fed? i have the standard three fish....blk/wht
stripe....spotted...blue/yel trim(looks like a fish i had for dinner one
night in iceland)..

using an OLD dos3.1 (36mhz!) monitor(13 inch diagonal)...also used same with
win98...and now it works fine with winXP........TOO cheap to buy
new/improved/larger model....screen too small for any additional fish (could
use snail or two). desk is too small for larger monitor
anyway.....computer is new compaq 6450nx (out of the box 4/1/03)....standard
intel(R) 82845G graphics controller. 800x600 (medium 15 bit)

I have the paid version of this screensaver. Not sure if the Plus!
version works exactly the same but the documentation I received with the
very first version stated that while the screensaver will work with
32bit color, it's optimized for 16bit. (The product has had a few
updates since the Plus! release date. While this setting may not apply
to newer versions, it did apply to the version that was available at the
time Plus! was released.)

I've tried both settings. Since the performance difference was minimal
on my system, I run it in 32bit but you may want to try 16bit to see if
the fish behave any better for you.
