Right-click the browser icon, properties, content tab, autocomplete, tick all the
boxes. Or within IE, tools, Internet Options, content tab, autocomplete, tick all the
boxes.

Ditch it - download Roboform (www.roboform.com). Not spyware - just works.
I've been using it for years. Works much better than the native auto-fill.

I just thought you'd like to know that you (and your lackeys) have been
reported to the lead of the MVP Programme for bringing the programme into
disrepute. They take imposters very seriously and it could lead to you
having your internet account revoked. Permanently.

You may have been using Roboform for years, but you want to re-think how
secure it is.....

If any of you guys use Roboform in an effort to simplify logging into web
pages - Bank accounts, etc. - you may be interested in this:

I recently discovered a bug in Roboform that makes me wonder if they've
implemented DES (or 3DES) correctly. For those that don't know, Roboform is
an application that saves user names, and passwords, and fills browser based
login forms - bank account logins, etc. The user information (secrets) are
supposed to be encrypted with DES, or 3DES in the paid version.

Basically, here's the problem: On the user manual pages for this product
http://www.roboform.com/faq.html#security the company says to use ten or
more characters for the master password. This master password is the key
that is used to encrypt or decrypt the data. I used twelve characters. A few
weeks ago, I noticed that the last four characters of my "master password"
were showing up in some of the screens. What I didn't know then, and
discovered since then is that while the system accepted all twelve
characters to encrypt the data, it only requires the first eight characters
to decrypt the data. The remaining characters after eight are actually
displayed if only eight are entered for the decrypt. The system does seem to
recognize all twelve, as it requires the complete password for certain
functions.

My question: Are they supposed to be storing the key "master password" with
the encrypted data with DES, or are they actually supposed to use it as a
key during encrypt and decrypt, and verify via CRC of the resulting
decrypted data that the key is correct. It would appear that the actual key
that the user entered during encrypt is stored, and is available for display
as evidenced by the "unused" characters following the first eight characters
showing up on the display. It also makes me wonder whether there are
actually back doors built into the product that would allow the company that
makes it to decrypt the file contents without the key that only I'm supposed
to know. Why would I ask this? Well, the software also sends queries
periodically to see if there's updates. I captured one of these
transactions, and it's a bunch of random characters. I asked why, and the
company says it's just to ensure that the query makes it to it's destination
in one piece. It would seem that if all they were doing was querying a
server as to "what's the current issue" as they claim that they are, then
there's no reason to send a bunch of hash.

If any of you guys are familiar with Roboform, and use it, maybe you can try
it with more than eight characters, and better explain what I'm trying to.
