I have an HP Pavilon Notebook with a fully patched XP SP2 and an HP LaserJet
5L connected to it via LPT1. If I try to print, the LED on the printer
flashes indicating to me it is receiving some data but nothing ever happens
afterwards. The document in the printer queue is deleted as it was
successfully printed and the LED stops flashing. No error message. Nothing.
The same happens with other printers. I tried the several methods mentioned
in http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=315325 with no luck. Any ideas what's
wrong with it? Thanks.

Try looking at HP's support site?

Sure tried that before, even called the support line. Still no luck. It seems
to be a Windows problem to me since printer communication is up.
