I an a newbie and before I do something realy stupid and
crash the computer, erase files or programs, or something
equally horrendous I want to do an entire backup of
everything on my computer.
I have XP Media ctr. preinstalled (no install CD) on my
computer and have spent hours and hours attempting to use
the "Backup Wizard" and "Create A Data Disc" to make a
backup DVD disc(s) which XP refuses to recognise as a
valid backup medium.
I have searched MS Knowledge Base and Help menues but I
just get more frustrated and confused. Any clear and
precise guidance on how to backup to a dvd disc would be
most welcome.
Note:- Backup Wizard reconizes 31/2" floppy disc in its
drop down menue for storage places, which I tried, and
got "estimated time remaining" 4 days+ and how many
f/discs I did not attempt to estimate. Is this a joke?
I wish I had Mr. Gate's phone number!!!
Thanks Dave.
(an extremely frustrated and fed up computer wannabe)
