I am unable to import video files of any file extension. Message reads as
follows.
C:\My Videos\dog.wmv could not be imported. Unspecified error
Any help would be appreciated. I have been able to import but not anymore,
tried re-installing Movie Maker but no joy.

Does the file still play correctly in Windows Media Player?

Thanks for the reply Cari.
I don't usually use Windows Media Player as I favour Winamp, I have now
tried to play the same files in Windows Media Player and they all run very
slowly,(OK in Winamp though).
I'll have a "brevitt" into Windows Media Player, but I'm still open to any
advice.
Thanks a lot.

Problem solved.......Run Movie Maker directly (Via a desktop shortcut) from
folder i386 in the windows service pack files. Now works fine.
