I have a Toshiba laptop computer that came with XP Home SP2 and I also have
an XP Professional upgrade CD that is SP1. When I try to upgrade I get a
warning that the OS on the system is newer than the upgrade CD.
Is there anyway to install using this disk or is there any way to get a
newer upgrade disk that has SP2 on it?

Hi,
You have to upgrade with a disk that has SP2 on it, or uninstall SP2 from
the existing Home system first. If you have a generic WinXP Pro disk, then
you can create your own slipstreamed disk with SP2 and use this (just search
on slipstream at google.com).

Would this work if I slipstream SP2 into the first release of the Windows XP
Professional English Intl Upgrade CD? I am looking for alternatives to
purchasing the Upgrade CD with SP2
