Found earlier today that if I went thru the audio tuning wizard and checked
the "echo cancellation" checkbox, audio remains "odd" even after exiting
(and terminating) Messenger, e.g. GPL car engine was muted, could hardly
hear your own gun shooting in various 1st person shooters (MOH series, COD,
DF-BHD) etc. etc.
Problem remained even thru re-boots that included a substantial delay during
a power down completely cycle.
Using MSN 7 Beta but suspect problem is common to all versions?
Re-ran the audio tuning wizard and unchecked the "echo cancel ..." checkbox
and all returned to normal.
