I have the same problem. ! Tire of it. I've just tried
something to see how it will work for me. So far, so
good. I've gone into control panel , under system and go
to the Advanced tab and then in Performance area, click
Settings button... I changed the radio button from LET
WINDOWS CHOOSE to ADJUST FOR BEST PERFORMANCE.. it takes
away alot of the "frills" and I hope this will allow it to
basically run clean like before... So far.. in my "plain"
environment , it seems to be working better (I've only
been testing with this change for 5 minutes..) Good luck
and post another reply if you find something better that
works.. I believe everyone under the sun or "dark
microsoft cloud" as it may be, is experiencing the same
problems with Windows XP. Good Luck !
