xp setup message

I have been running xp for about a year, No problems. Now
i'm getting this message when i start the
computer "please go to the control panel to install and
configure system components" ive tried to uninstall some
of them and reinstall no luck. Any help would be
appreciated!!!!

Did you go to add/remove and on the left side add/remove windows components
and the 'set program access'?
