I am experiencing a situation unique since the latest
updates I have Windows XP H/E.
Before my screensaver was set to-My Pic. Slide show then
turn off monitor after 1 hr. now it goes into
hibernation/standby. Then I have to sign-in to get access
to the programs that were running before it went into
that mode. I have not set the Power Options to do this
nor the Display settings to allow this to happen. I HAVE
gone to "Display" & "POWER OPTIONS" and checked there, I
even re-set them to my preference yet it still does
this....Any IDEAS as to which update caused this?(recent
ones)
--Latest ones I have installed are:
-Windows Messenger 4.7
-MS .NET Framework Ver. 1.1
-DirectX 9.0a End-User Runtime
-816093: MS Virtual Machine
811493:Security update
Q817287:Critical update
I usually do "update" consistently and do read the
knowledge base to what I am installing. I have become
wary of screw-ups from past experience so I make sure
most of the updates apply BEFORE I install them. There
was nothing that said the updates would change my
personal settings..or that I would need to.
--Any Ideas or anyone else experiencing this???
-Thanks in Advance!
