downloading upgrades

Yesterday I downloaded the 18 downlowds reccomended for
my windows xp. Now my computer (Dell 8250) is much slower
and links within emails are no longer hot.

How can I fix this?

Why? I saw that number as one of my downloads. What is
wrong with it?

it seems to be slowing down a whole bunch of peoples' systems - a conflict
with anti-virus software if I recall. Apparently Microsoft is looking into
this.

If you system runs very slow after installing 811493 the uninstall it. There
is a conflict with the code provided by 811493 and virus detect programs.
