I have the Windows XP Home Edition disk. However, the
back up icon is not present on the desk top menu or
anywhere in the program files. I am told the back up
utility is included on the Windows XP Home Edition CD-Rom
in the valueadd folder. To use back up, I must install
the utility manually.

My question is, I reinstalled the CD and I still do not
have back up utility program. Is there a #2disk to this
Window XP program? Should the manufacturer had given me
this disk to me, to install along with the Windows XP
program?

Please advise.
Thanks.

Follow this to install NTBACKUP:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q302894
If you have OEM Windows XP, the files may or may not be there.
In that case you are not licensed for NTBACKUP and need to use a 3rd
party application if a back-up utility is desired.
