Xp Pro Sp2 Logs Off When Logging In To User Account

Hey People, howz it goin

Here's the thing, trying to sort out someone comp. for them, got a login problem. Everytime you try to log in to one of the user accounts xp will automatically log off again.. This happened after downloading some anti virus software. (unknown) will not boot up in safe mode, cannot get into administator account because the password is unknown, which is weird because there is no password hint at all. running recovery console again ask for admin. password. Anyone got any ideas,

Did you try leaving the password blank?
