A great site that lists just about all programs that may
be loaded by windows gives the following info:

Program Name: NvCplDaemon (2)

Executable Name: rundll32.exe NvCpl.dll, NvStartup

Required: User's choice

Comments: Intializes the clock and memory settings on
nVidia based graphics cards. Disable if you overclock your
card
- YOu could either uninstall/reinstall NVIDIA drivers, or
perhaps find the registry key loading this program and
delete it...
