In the last couple of months I've noticed my browser taking longer to load.
It takes between 5 and 10 seconds to load and I have a cable modem running
around 5Kbps.
I have version 6.0, sp2.

Thanks

It may be "network" traffic on your street, neighborhood and/or at the
"head-end" - digital cable shares the bandwidth all the way to the
"head-end", for not only internet, but all digital and pay-per-view
channels. You may have more neighbors subscribing to the service now - so
you now get less of the pipe (bandwidth), especially with so many offering
those new TiVo type devices - watch one show, record one or two others.
It may be the "internet" in general - more people, more broadband users,
more demand on websites and servers.
It may be more sites are offering "broadband" quality pictures and movies,
like MSN, Yahoo, etc - web sites are detecting whether you are dial-up
versus broadband depending on the IP address you are contacting them from.
It may be your configurations for TCP/IP, as in MTU Size, Receive Window
(RWIN).
It may be updates to your AV or Firewall software.
It may be you need to flush IE cache.
It may be...you get the picture, you have a few thinks to look at :-)
