Norton Anti-Virus & Security Descriptors

Please Help

Norton Anti virus has been known to screw up the security
descriptors in Win xp. When I run a scheduled chkdsk it
does not repair it. I know this because disc doctor
confirms same. Any suggestions ?

Doug,

There are several alternative AV programs, many are at least equal to the
quality of Norton, not that that's much of an achievement IMHO. So, my
suggestion would be replace Norton AV. Additionally, you don't need Disk
Doctor, the XP "Chkdsk" program which is included with the OS is just as
efficient.
