My c drive is 8 gig, my computer tells me that I am
running out of space, that there is only 27 meg left.
when I open the c drive and circle everything in it, it
says I am using 1.21gig of space. whats going on and how
do I fix it? also I have show all files checked in
options.
Thanks

To view all files:
Check "Show hidden files"
Uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types"
Uncheck "Hide protect operating system files"
Be sure to put these back to normal when finished
Sometimes System Restore keeps more than it should.
Turn off/on System Restore to delete corrupted files:
Start/All Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Restore.
Click System Restore Settings on left side.
Check "Turn off System Restore", click OK, follow prompts and reboot.
This deletes all Restore Points including corruption.
Then go back and turn on system Restore.

Do you have Norton System Works installed on the computer?
If so then is the "Norton Protected Recycle Bin" in use?
That has been known to fill up a hard drive with hidden copies of files
that you thought were long since eaten, burped and forgotten.
Good luck
