My son brought his PC home from college and left it with us. Our other PC
just "smoked" (see alt.comp.hardware.pc-homebuilt for details).

His PC has Windows XP Professional, but has not been upgraded to SP2. The
PC was bought for use at the US Naval Academy, so all the software was
installed via their network. In other words, I do not have the original
Windows XP disk. Will I need it to upgrade to SP2? Or can I use my own CD
for the "smoked" computer?

Thanks,
Craig

Thanks. I have the CD from Microsoft, so I'll just go for it!
