hard drive problem

I believe i was attempting to drag a setup icon/program
to my hard drive via drag and drop. but i must have
dropped the program ON and not In the drive; Because
if I attempt to open the hard drive by left clicking on
it, I start the program setup! The only way I can open
and see my hard drive is to right click the hard drive
and then left click on Open.
Can anyone help me get rid of this problem?
