my disk defragmenter shows that there are 18 file fragments in ntfs (mft).
is there any way that they can be defragmented?
i believe that defrag cannot do this.

XP's defragger leaves certain files fragmented by design. There are third
party applications that defragment more comprehensively, and since some of
their technical support people volunteer their expertise to these groups, I
trust you will soon learn about these applications.
