Windows Update

Can anyone help me. I cant get update to work. The site
loads at the following:
http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/en/default. but I
get a message that says this:
Windows Update has encountered an error and cannot
display the requested page. Network problems are
preventing connection to the Windows Update servers.
Please try again later.

I had this with Millenium too. When I had 98 I connected
fine and I had the same service provider.
That can I do? Thanks!
