A hotfix is a little patch that Microsoft releases to correct programming
mistakes in the operating system.(Simple explanation) More than likely you
updated from the MS site and they were installed automatically. Typically
these are fixes for things like 'An attacker could execute code on your
computer'. Before you remove the hotfix, google for whichever one it is eg.
'KB123456', research what it does, then decide if you need it.

thanks scarecrowe I get the just of what they are but if there is no size to
them does it mean that they have not been downloaded and if not is my
computer at riskof being attacked by something like a hacker

Tristen;
Do NOT delete or uninstall them unless security for your computer is not
important.
However you can safely delete the uninstall files and remove the entry in
Add/Remove Programs:

The deal is when your listed size is zero, this does not necessarily mean
that the size is zero! It may mean the size is too small to be relevant.
IMHO, if the hotfix size is zero, and it does not affect your normal usage
of the machine, let it be. [no broke->no fix]
